The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. CALS is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges of the university, helping address problems and create opportunities that affect our food, our environment, our health and our energy future. Its website is the center piece of the college’s online communication strategy, which is complimented by CALS News, eCALS and Grow Magazine.
CALS News
The CALS News website is the online public outlet for news about the college, combining information from different internal and external news sources to provide relevant, timely stories to audiences interested in the college’s work.
eCALS
eCALS is the news website for the college’s faculty and staff. Its main function is to be an official internal communication tool to provide relevant information to internal audiences.
Grow Magazine online
Grow Magazine is an award-winning magazine devoted to the life sciences, published by CALS. It features stories on recent and ongoing CALS research, outreach and academic accomplishments.
Other Projects
Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems (CIAS)
The redesign of CIAS’s web site improved their ability to organize, update and publish research documents, making them more accessible for researchers in the area.
University of Wisconsin Arboretum
Leading department in ecological restoration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I currently assist on extending the site and creating new modules to expand its CMS.
